Ed Dauksz, Past Chapter President and Advisory Board
Ed Dauksz has over 40 years of Military and Defense Industry experience in directing and overseeing Business Development, Congressional and Government relations, and Budget analysis. As a senior management consultant for Accenture and previously the George Group for the past 8 years, Mr. Dauksz played an integral role using his extensive knowledge and relationships to successfully help map and focus resources/plans to establish both companies as the Department of Defense’s premier Process Innovation Performance and Business Transformation partner.
Before forming his own consulting company, Ed held executive leadership roles at ITT Industries for over 22 years. He served on the corporate headquarters staff as the Director of Army/Marine Corps programs and Congressional liaison responsible for the entire electronic enterprise which included communications-electronics, night vision, electronic warfare, space and service support. He formed close relationships with key Congressional leaders, Department of Defense Executives and General Officers as well as the key Program Executives. His efforts encompassed briefing DOD executives, senior military and Congress on ITT capabilities to ensure proper fielding of equipment to the field forces..
Mr. Dauksz served as a Marine Corp officer for 22 years, retiring in 1980. His last tour of duty was at Marine Corps headquarters responsible to develop and defend the Marine Communications-Electronic budget. Prior to that, he was an instructor at the Marine Corps Command and Staff College. Ed served two tours of duty in the Republic of Vietnam directing the Signals Intelligence effort. He was awarded several combat medals and awards.
Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut and completed several graduate level courses. He is a graduate of the Marine Corps Command and Staff College; National Security Agency’s Senior Cryptologic School; and the Marine Corps Communication Officers School.
Mr. Dauksz holds key positions in Defense Associations. He is the State President, National Capital Region, Association of the US Army, (AUSA); past President George Washington Chapter, AUSA; Board of Directors, Marine Corps Cryptologic Association; and the Pentagon Federal Credit Union Foundation Board of Directors supporting military Wounded Warriors. He is a member of the Segways 4 Vets Board of Advisors which donates Segways to our Wounded Warrior amputees... His is a voting member on the Virginia State Joint Leadership Council which advises the Governor and the Commissioner of Veteran Services on military and veteran matters.
Mr. Dauksz is the recipient of the Association of the US Army’s Biddle Medal for Distinguished Service. In 2009 he was presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award by President Barack Obama in recognition for his commitment to community sevice. He was also awarded the Pentagon Federal Credit Union Foundation’s American Hero Award for outstanding contributions in support of the Wounded Warrior program.
He is married to Hope and has two children, Allison and Meredith.
